When you registered, you told us about a particular technology, project, service or idea you'd like to learn about, or which you'd like to present to fellow participants. Briefly, again, what was that?
I'd like to learn about any ideas for how journalists and other content creators will be able to market and get paid for their work as the journalism infrastructure dissipates and entrepreneurship and indepent work flourish. It strikes me that advertising alone may not work.
What resource, person, organization or company would you like to see participating in NewsTools2008 in order to spur the transformation of journalism?
I'd like to see a company emerge which could provide an collaborative, cooperative infrastructure for sharing users and content which protects the privacy of consumers, yet allows consumers to find, share and use and pay for information from anywhere.
How do you define "journalism that matters," and please suggest ways for journalists and technologists to collaborate (structure, events, groups, processes) in ways mostly likely to sustain it.
It's new, trustworthy information that affects our ability to function responsibly and happily as citizens, friends and family members.
